Natural Times, October/November/December 2012
By Jim Terrell, Board President
I hope that everyone is having a great fall. The next few weeks are a busy time for the New Leaf Market Board with elections, 5th Annual Farm Tour, the Annual Ownership Meeting, and our yearly planning session.
New Leaf Market’s election season is under way. We have three Board seats up for election this year along with proposed by-laws revisions and a proposed change to the articles of incorporation to be voted on in this election. We will have two owner forums (October 10 and October 24 at 6:30 pm) for owners to meet the candidates and learn more about the bylaw and article changes. The Board has put a lot of time and energy into these proposed changes and we ask the owners to approve them.
The 2012 Board Election will start at the Annual Ownership Meeting on Saturday, November 3, and will close on November 18. The Annual Meeting will be held at the American Legion Hall on Lake Ella from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. I encourage you to come and learn more about New Leaf Market and participate in this year’s elections.
The 5th Annual Farm Tour will be held on October 20 and 21. This nationally recognized program developed by New Leaf Market is being used as a model nationwide. If you have participated in the past you know how wonderful the farm tour is, and, if you have not participated in the past, this is a great year to start!
Finally, on December 15 the Board will hold its annual planning session. At this meeting we set our calendar, make committee assignments and define our goals for the coming year. We will be communicating these goals over the next few months.
Again, I hope all are having a wonderful fall season and I will be back next issue.
