Meet the Meat Department

With the expansion now complete, we are pleased to invite you to visit our new meat and seafood department. We offer a full selection of natural, antibiotic and hormone-free fresh and frozen chicken, lamb, beef and pork and sustainable seafood. In addition to wild Alaskan salmon and halibut, we are excited to offer wild-caught Florida seafood.
We are very pleased with the quality of our brands. Murray’s chicken is certified humanely raised and handled, free range, and is the only chicken to be certified by the United States Department of Agriculture as lean. As a side note, our deli hot bar only uses Murray’s chicken.
Thompson Farms Smokehouse supplies us with a variety of smoked pork products. See the Local Spotlight on page 10 to learn more about this local farm. KBH Farms, another local ranch, provides us with 100-percent grass-fed beef, free of steroids, antibiotics and hormones.
For the holidays we are offering fresh, all-natural turkeys, as well as frozen organic turkeys. We are also offering fresh, sugar-cured ham from local vendor Thompson Farms and frozen hams from Niman Ranch.
For red meat fans, we have rib roast and prime brisket along with a full selection of steak cuts and natural ground beef. If you’re looking for something different, we are excited to offer Long Island duck and lamb for your holiday needs. Due to the high demand we suggest that you fill out a special order form (available at the customer service desk) to ensure that you will have the exact turkey or ham that you need for the holidays.
Meat cutters are on duty daily to answer your questions or to provide you with a custom cut of your favorite steak. Just ring the buzzer located at the end of the meat case next to the stockroom doors.
