Board Election Season Brings Opportunity

Opportunity for primary owners has arrived once again as the election cycle for the New Leaf Market Board of Directors (BOD) begins anew in April. We have two candidate forums scheduled—Wednesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 21 at 6:30 pm, in the New Leaf Market meeting room. If you are interested in running, or just want to learn more about the Board, we encourage you to attend one of these forums. Check in at the service desk to be escorted to the meeting room.

Directors, current and past, will discuss the Board’s role and responsibilities. Materials on board structure, duties, job descriptions, code of ethics and time commitment will be provided. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm, with the forum beginning promptly at 7:15 pm. Please note that primary owners must declare their candidacy by Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Once nominated by the Election Committee, candidates’ statements are due at the customer service desk, along with a photo taken by New Leaf Market staff, by Wednesday, May 26, 2010 for publication in the July/August/September newsletter.

Current and prior board members agree that BOD work satisfies the desire to be involved in the community and expands one’s associations within that community.
