Eating Right for Your Fitness Goals


Spring is here and summer is right around the corner! Who doesn’t want to look good in their bathing suit on the beach? Being fit and healthy is the key to a long and happy life. It is important to supply your body with natural supplements and quality foods.

  • Muscle Gain: If you’re looking to gain muscle mass you want to make sure you have a protein packed diet with proper nutrition. Foods like LEAN beef, eggs, whey protein, fish, cottage cheese, and skinless chicken are all healthy sources of protein.
  • Weight Loss: If you’re looking to lose weight, you’ll want to cut out processed carbohydrates, sugars and saturated fats. This includes fried foods, sweets, artificial sweeteners, margarine and soda. You may also consider reducing your consumption of multi- or whole grain breads and pastas. Say “no” to extras like salad dressings, cheese, mayo and sauces. Stick to organic, non-processed foods and you’ll reach your goal in no time!
  • Maintaining Weight: Trying to maintain your current weight? Incorporate multi-vitamins and non-processed foods into your daily routine. Eating often helps with stabilizing your metabolism; many studies say we should be eating small meals every 2 ½ - 3 hours.

Regardless of your health and fitness goals, always stay hydrated. You should be drinking at least half of your bodyweight in ounces of water every day.

Consider preparing your meals ahead of time. Prep your meals on Sunday nights to avoid weight gain while saving time and money!
